" Leave me alone. I want to concentrate on building up my bank account in my final season at your wonderful football club. I have a young baby to feed. You wouldn't want him to go hungry would you? In the meantime I shall put up with the splinters in my arse while you carry on buying my no.9 shirt."

Little pea needs to go, but I don’t see a buyer.

I caught the second half on a stream. Chicharito gets knocked off the ball too easily and then spends ages getting up off his arse and fiddling around with his socks. Too old, too lazy ... stealing a living. Get rid and bring in someone younger.

We still need a DM, LB and RB by the looks of it unless Masuaku and Fredericks step up, then just a DM, otherwise we will be in trouble as teams have learn’t from last year that these are our weaknesses and will target them.

Going forward we look very good, Haller looks excellent, he may not score so many, but he will set many up. Fornals looks real quality also.

Doesn’t make sense that Obiang hasn’t been replaced? Maybe they have someone up their sleeve, I’m not going to hold my breathe.

Watched it on line and enjoyed the movement going forward and agree we could do with a season free of long term injuries ... and clearly we need Fab back!!

Did struggle making out which team was which at times on a small screen ... claret shorts especially when opposition is darker doesn’t work!!!

You cañ be forgiven as long as it was a Pret Tuña baguette.
Echoing what has already been said, great going forward but wide open at the back with the jury still out on the keeper.

Agree with the comments about first half midfield. Wilshire and Lanzini ran the show before the break. Snoddy was playing with a big grin on his face. Enjoyed his run out, I think. Little Pea missed a one-on-one and, given the circumstances, he needs to be let go. Quite a soporific game for large parts with a few moments of sparks, as you’d expect for a pre-season. I.enjoyed my tuna sarnie in the sunshine watching the game with one eye on my phone with Ashes updates. I know - naughty.

Fornals, Lanzini, Anderson, Wilshere in midfield is going to be a fucking joy to watch this season if we can keep them injury free.

To be fair, Keep dreaming

When most crosses go into the box, they are cleared.

He's had a couple of good crosses today, which on another day reaches one of our players and we score.

We should be more concerned with his defending.

Cresswell does most things right until the last ball (pass or cross). At that very point he is useless

Haller’s involvement in both goals, especially the second, was superb.
Could be an excellent signing

Good run out against a decent side

Some of the football played was beautiful to watch. Wilshere, fornals and Lanzini are building a fantastic trio in that midfield

Praying Wilshere can stay fit, dictated every move going forward.

Cresswell wasn’t good enough again, musuaku must start IMO

Thought Cresswell did well today, attacking wise at least.

Re: West Ham United Vs Athletic Club
I thought the first half midfield looked terrific, Wilshere and Lanzini pulling the strings, Fornals and Haller linking up really well too. Anderson had some good moments but lacks end product. He'll have to be on his game or will lose his place to Yarmolenko or Antonio - both looked good when they came on. It's good to see Lanzini playing well again - I thought he was really poor at the end of last season. Cresswell was poor apart from one or two moments. He is shockingly one-footed - he's so reluctant to play the ball inside with his right foot that all he can do is play it up or down the line. Arthur has to be first choice LB.

I was very impressed with that 20 min spell in the first half when we scored the two goals.

If we can keep that starting lineup fit, we could be in for a successful season.

Yeah, we will see. How much does he want a big contract elsewhere and will he bear down and fight for that or is it really just gone?

Ok, IOC

I have no idea what he's like.

If we do sign him, as ever, I will back the fucker and give him a fair crack of the whip.

He better not let us down though boy, I said boy!!!

Re: West Ham United Vs Athletic Club
"Pellegrini also dismissed suggestions that West Ham are short of options in the centre forward position, pointing to the different strengths possessed by Club-record signing Haller, Chicharito and Michail Antonio.

“Javier [Hernandez] is a penalty box player and he always scores ten or 12 goals every season, whereas Sebastien is a player who works more into the space and with the ball,” he continued. “When you play with a striker like Javier, who scores so many goals, you have to create a lot of chances and he will score. With Sebastien, he is a mixed player and he also scores a lot so, for me, I am happy with both of them."

When he puts it like that it sounds ok. Trouble is, Hernandez is a shadow of the player who used to be a nearly good striker.

Long would be great punt at that price, no matter the state of our defence.
